Edgehill Welcomes New Lifestyle Director
We are proud to announce Maureen Jennings as the new lifestyle director at Edgehill. In this position, Jennings is responsible for creating a diverse offering of engaging events, programs and activities for our residents.
A Local Perspective
A longtime resident of Fairfield County, Maureen is eager to leverage Edgehill’s ideal location to provide on-campus activities, cultural excursions locally and to New York and seasonal outings in Connecticut’s picturesque towns. “With fall here, maybe that is a trip to a farm,” says Jennings, “where residents can enjoy a cider and the beautiful ride out there.”
Fostering Community Connections
Her goal is to maintain an open dialogue with residents and invite their input on what they enjoy most. “I am here to support their diverse interests in the arts, theater, world events and the like.”
A Welcoming Presence
“Already, Maureen is forming a special relationship with our residents,” says Edgehill Campus Executive Director Chris Cilano. “Her door is always open and she brings a genuine enthusiasm for making the community an even more vibrant place.”
Paws and Pucks
Residents stopping by Maureen’s office are likely to meet Cooper, her 2-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who often accompanies her to work. They may also find themselves in a lively conversation about the New York Rangers, Jennings’ favorite team. “Thanks to my wonderful dad, most of my (five) siblings love hockey and we are all texting with one another on game day!”
Professional Background
Maureen most recently led a team of account executives and clinical liaisons for a home health agency, gaining insight into CCRCs, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities. She was also a part of her own parents’ journey as they transitioned to living in a CCRC and views herself as an advocate for older adults and their well being.
Passion for Senior Care
“I love being around our residents,” she says. “They have so much to share with us. This is the chapter of their life that they really deserve to feel loved, supported and inspired to enjoy every day.”
